Memcached in Shared Website Hosting
Memcached is available as an optional upgrade with each shared website hosting package that we are offering and in case you wish to use it for any script-powered site that you host on our innovative cloud hosting platform, you will be able to activate it in a couple of simple steps via your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. In the meantime, you will be given the option to upgrade two separate features – the number of instances and the memory. The first one refers to the number of the sites that can use the Memcached distributed memory object caching system simultaneously, so if you need it for several websites, you can order a handful of instances. The second one has to do with the maximum amount of memory that Memcached will be permitted to use in order to cache content, so for a lot of sites (or for one resource-demanding site), you may want to get more memory for better results. The memory is available in increments of 16 megabytes and more memory can be ordered at any moment. With the Memcached caching system, every script-powered site hosted on our servers will open much faster.
Memcached in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you choose to host your Internet sites in a semi-dedicated server account, you will be able to take advantage of Memcached with ease, as the memory caching platform’s activation takes a few mouse clicks from the Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The required PHP extension is already installed on our semi-dedicated servers, so you can start using Memcached as soon as you add it to your semi-dedicated server account. You will be able to choose how many websites can use it and how much content it will cache, i.e. there’re two different features that can be upgraded – the number of instances and the amount of memory. You can add more of both, so if one of your websites becomes very popular, for instance, you can always get more memory. Our system is incredibly flexible in this regard and we don’t tie a particular number of instances to a fixed amount of system memory. You can use the Memcached caching platform to improve the speed of any script-driven website, including those that are based on popular web-based apps, such as Joomla™ or WordPress.
Memcached in VPS Servers
You will get Memcached with each of the VPS server packages offered by us in case you pick Hepsia as your hosting Control Panel and you will be able to activate the content caching platform through the section with the exact same name. The setup requires a few mouse clicks and you’ll detect the difference in the overall performance of your websites almost instantaneously. The amount of memory that the Memcached platform can use to store info depends on the given Virtual Private Server hosting package that you have chosen, but at any rate it will be at least several hundred megabytes, which is more than enough even for multiple high-demand Internet sites. You can use the Memcached platform with sites driven by Joomla™, WordPress or any other software app and lower the load on your VPS server, which will allow you to keep using the current VPS hosting plan rather than migrating to a more powerful one, since you will simply not need it. The Memcached platform is already being used by popular websites such as Reddit, Wikipedia and Zynga, which proves its efficiency.
Memcached in Dedicated Servers
Each dedicated server that’s ordered with our Hepsia Control Panel comes with Memcached already installed by default, so you can start using this object caching system once the dedicated server is fully operational, without the need to upgrade or activate anything. The amount of system memory that Memcached can use depends on the dedicated server that you’ve selected, but as our servers are pretty powerful and given the fact that it’s likely that you will host resource-heavy Internet sites on them, the minimum amount of memory that the caching system can use will be three gigabytes. This will allow you to enhance the performance of extremely heavy websites with ease and you’ll distinguish the difference soon after the Memcached system starts caching database queries. You can take full advantage of the caching system with any database-powered portal, including those that are based on famous CMSs like Joomla™ and WordPress.
